Stimulus

can the lowering of temperature be a stimulus to the reproduction of the tropheus?[:geek:]

I don't think so. They already live warm regions of the lake. Are the fish sexually mature? With right water parameters, male to female ratio, feeding and decoration they breed like rabbits.

What is the size of the tank? Water parameters? Species?

Instead of dropping temp. permanently, Swings in temp. with water change can stimulate breeding behaviour.

It is a curiosity because it happened to me that, after a treatment, I went from 29 degrees to 23 degrees by mistake and I immediately had two reproductions.
It is true that the lake is very stable all year round, with a range of around 22 to 24 degrees!

Probably its due to water change after the treatment

I did not change the water after treatment, it was just thermotherapy
