Today In The Fishroom~3/06/11 F0 H. carpinte "Rio Salto"

A very nice Hericthys fish discovered by Juan Miquel Artiz...Carpinte Rio Salto.  From Rio El Salto, Panuco drainage in Mexico, the fish will likely be described into a new species.  The fish is collected in the stream above the Pago Pago falls.  It's isolated from other carpinte forms and is evolving rapidly as re most fish in that region of Mexico.

Anyway...beautiful fish.

Rio salte nearly as same as media luna.. Media luna is more colorful.
