Bleach is safe when used at the proper concentration to sanitize the aquarium. Bleach contains chlorine in concentrated form and is used to disinfect most urban drinking water, which is a CDC approved method for disinfecting drinking water. Couple of months ago I realized planaria eggs on one of my aquarium's glass. Probably I moved them to other aquariums by using the same scoop(the green net I use for). I tried everything. Nothing worked. I learned that a medicine called "Albendazol" is being used against planaria. SO I bought a medicine which contains it but I was afraid of using it while my precious bettas were in the tanks.

Finally I tried to empty the tanks and fill with water and add a scoup of bleach in them. After a day, I cleanned the glasses manually. filled with fresh water and waited for couple of days, washed them well. I filled them with water and new filters. Waited for a month to see if any new planaria sign will appear and get to start the new bacteria population. It's been months that I have been using them. Everything is just fine. So, everything should be normal if you use it correctly, as you mentioned.

But of course it is going to kill the entire bacteria population in the tank. So it is not good for the healtj of the tanks general use. [EDIT]CrownBetta,2022-03-22 12:26:12[/EDIT]

I'm completely same idea with CrownBetta. Also, I think you need to rinse your aquarium items after used bleach.
There is a huge difference between fish mass and human mass. In that case effect will be really differ.

Öncelikle forumumuza hoşgeldiniz Kelsey. Birkaç ay önce akvaryumumun camında planaria yumurtaları fark ettim. Muhtemelen aynı kepçeyi (kullandığım yeşil ağ) kullanarak başka akvaryumlara taşıdım. Her şeyi denedim. Hiçbir şey çalışmadı. Planaria'ya karşı "Albendazol" adlı bir ilacın kullanıldığını öğrendim. CrownBetta ile tamamen aynı fikirdeyim. Ayrıca, çamaşır suyu kullandıktan sonra akvaryum eşyalarınızı durulamanız gerektiğini düşünüyorum.
Balık kütlesi ile insan kütlesi arasında büyük bir fark vardır. Bu durumda etkisi gerçekten farklı olacaktır.

Crystalin diye bir ürün var, bildiğim kadarıyla veterinerler tarafından dezenfektan olarak kullanılıyor. Doğrudan gözlere ve açık yaralara uygularlar. Tanıtıldığında, sunucu bize güvenli bir şekilde uygulanabileceğini göstermek için az miktarda içti. Belki tanklarımız için kullanabiliriz.

There is a product called Crystalin, it is used as a disinfectant by veterinarians that I know. They apply it directly to eyes and open wounds. When it was being introduced, the presenter drank a small amount to show us it can safely be applied. Maybe we can use it for our tanks.
